Re: Initial cluster setup

Let me ask one more question:

We have an internet connected application that uses a database. My plan is to have three boxes.

One will be a management server, among other things.

Two will run the application, be a storage node, and be a MySQL node. The app will connect to its local MySQL node and will not cross-connect to the third box.

Three will be an exact copy of two. Again, no cross-connect between the app and the MySQL node.

A load balancer will handle failover between the two applications. If box #2 goes down, box #3 will start receiving traffic.

Is this feasible? Is there a better way to do it?
