Checkpoints save the data to DataDir as specified in config.ini

There is information in the manual about checkpoints (incl the different types).

Ram usage is carefully controlled in cluster by placing limits on resources (see the configuration paramaters MaxNoOf* in the manual).

You cannot currently store tables in the mysql database in cluster.
