Not as far as I'm aware. I've been fiddling around with it since and I now have a working cluster. I think my original problem was that I was trying to get the mysqld to connect before I had all the data nodes up and running. Is this mentioned anywhere in the documentation?
Further to this, I was originally experimenting with a 4 machine setup. 2 machines were running ndbd, and the other 2 were both running a management node and an SQL node. Now for some reason on the "primary" management node machine (I call it that because I hadn't got around to configuring the other nodes to connect to anything other than that one) I could have the mysqld node connect fine, however on the secondary machine I could only ever have one of either the management node or mysqld connect, not both at the same time. Is there a reason for this? Again, is it mentioned in the documentation?
I have since changed my setup so I have 2 machines running data nodes and mysqld notes and 2 machines running the management nodes, but I would prefer to go back to my original setup if possible...
