Need Help! Could you describe that how data is distributed by MySQL Cluster?

I am new for MySQL Cluster. I have set up MySQL Cluster with 2 DB nodes. I'm trying to its performance.
By the way, I have some questions that:
- how does MySQL Cluster break the whole data, also indexes? (such binary or other ways)
and which are data algorithms used in this methods?
- how each fragmented data is distributed to which machine? (with balancing or not)
- how can I verify that the above questions?
- how can I test its performace?

I think these are very importance for us to know how the system work. If we only just deploy the system without know its architecture, we could not verify that how its work. MySQL Cluster is very useful database tool at present and future.
