Disk space usage with ndbcluster ?

My database takes 3G disk space with myisam; converted to ndbcluster it takes 9G RAM _AND_
25G disk space !!!? I can understand where does RAM go, but disk !? Am I doing something wrong
or this is just the way it is ? And don't tell me disk is cheap....
