Hardware Questions
Hello MySQL community!
I've got some questions on hardware for a server running an NDB Database without Replication.
The reason why I want to use the NDB Engine is main memory speed, while at the same time keeping logs so Data is not lost.
Data size in InnoDB and MyIsam tables (these are used at present) is about 1,6 GB - this data will be migrated to NDB.
I don't need failover functionality.
If possible I'd like to run the cluster node and the regular mysql server that serves the queries on the same server.
Will 6 GB of memory be enough? Or shoul I better use 8 GB?
Is a dual processor machine needed? Does MySQL cluster benefit from 64bit processors? Does it benefit from dual core processors?
Best regards and thank you in advance...
