Hey it means absolutly nothing to me, hopefully someone from mysql can assist, its just I came accross the same bug myself with text columns. I could not however reproduce this, perhaps you can try and reproduce, gather all the ndbd logs and mysql error logs and lodge a bug report? (My experiance in this achieved no error logs or trace files - if your ndbds are crashing you should have something) My Bug, which would be assisted by any more information you can provide; http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=15115

At least im not the only one who has experianced this issue now. I think you will find above what you are experiancing with the mentioned queries that you can select the text column all by itself, but not with other columns. Can you try that?
I think you'll also find that the order by has no impact on the results. However my ndbd's did not crash.

select f2 from test;

Adam
