I think there was some work done recently by Jonas to get some server variables showing some usage information. Although we will work towards having these available from SQL (in a place like INFORMATION_SCHEMA, but no doubt better named). It's certainly something that would be useful for people.
Otherwise the management client could be a good place to put them in the meantime....
