If I'm not wrong and I understand you, it's necessary to run the connect binary from a linux box that has some mysql cluster element (mysqld, mgm or ndbmtd) running into and it must be a mysql cluster element with id into config.ini.
We will never run ndbapi applications from linux box that isn't part of a cluster (node API, Data node, mgm). Is this right ?
