Seems like your question was very relevant.
I see that many other applications have a similar problem.
I think it would be resolvable if there is some way at runtime
to map a Docker hostname to an IP address and probably needs
the opposite as well.
So when 10.0.0.4 connects if we somehow can map that this currently
is tied to the hostname mysql_data1, then we can probably solve it.
But I am still very new to Docker Swarm, so not sure how and if this
is possible.
