I think that's out of date. (Which is most likely my fault. *groan*) That was originally written wayyyy back in 5.1 times, and there have been a few changes since then.

Good thing you filed that bug report, which I've now made sure is assigned to me. I will have to set up some Windows instances (I employ Linux 99% of the time for both work and personal use) and do some checking/testing, so it may take a little while for me to resolve this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention--that entire section is probably due for some review/revision.

Use the config.ini file similar to what's shown in the Manual. Start the management node with --config-file or -f to tell it where this file is located. IIRC, you only need to do this when

1. Starting ndb_mgmd for the first time.

2. (Re)Starting ndb_mgmd following a configuration change (or if for some reason the management node's binary copy of this file is missing or corrupted, which should not happen under normal circumstances).
