Ok I think I got it.....
Looks like its driven by NoOfReplicas in the config.ini.
So if I have two data nodes with NoOfReplicas = 2, then I'll get no partitioning but I'll get replication.
And if I have four data nodes with NoOfReplicas = 2, then I'll get partitioning across two groups - with each group having replication between its two data nodes.
Could someone let me know if my understanding is correct ok this?
