Thanks a lot Mauritz. Let me try your suggestion regarding MySQL Server.
My other problem is the data nodes do not show up when I try with - mysql -u root -p (SHOW ENGINE NDB STATUS \G). They do show up in - ndb_mgm (SHOW).
Any thoughts?
