The output shown by "mysql -uroot -p 'SHOW ENGINE NDB STATUS" is:

Type: ndbcluster
Name: connection
Status: cluster_node_id=4, connected_host=198.51.100.2, connected_port=1186, number_of_data_nodes=0, number_of_ready_data_nodes=0, connect_count=0

However once in a blue moon, the output is:

Type: ndbcluster
Name: connection
Status: cluster_node_id=4, connected_host=198.51.100.2, connected_port=1186, number_of_data_nodes=4, number_of_ready_data_nodes=4, connect_count=0

Why would this happen?

And each time all the data nodes do show up while using -- SHOW in the ndb_mgm client.
