Re: MySQL NDB Restore Failed.
Hi Karthik
When you restart the failed node in an alive cluster you do not need and should not do a manual restore using ndb_restore.
The starting node will automatically restore its state from its leftover file system and sync the new data from the other alive nodes over the network.
In some cases when node can not start from its file system one may need to scrap the filesystem by starting the data node with --initial option, this forces the data node to restore all data over the network from alive nodes.
You need to restore a backup (using ndb_restore) when the cluster have lost the backuped data, but not when restarting nodes in an alive cluster which already have that data.
Regards,
Mauritz
