If you can only allocate 2g to the NDBD process, then you are probably running a 32bit CPU/OS (or both). You need to run multiple NDBD processes at 2gb each to achieve more memory usage, this is a 32bit memory mapping limitation. Or you need 64bit / 64bit EMT CPUs which can map memory well above 2gb.
