cluster questions

Hello, two quick questions about cluster:

1. The docs say the hardware must be homogenous, but only mentions byte-order. I tried to create a cluster on 2 64bit Suse10 systems (data nodes) and 1 32bit Suse10 system (mgm node) an it didn't work - the data nodes couldn't connect to the mgm node. I then created a MGM node on one of the 64bit machines and it connects find. Must all systems be either 32 or 64bit?

2. It's currently not possible to add data nodes dynamically to the cluster, but I believe it's possible to dynamically increase the data node DataMemory and IndexMemory. So can you create multiple data nodes on each system with limited data/indexmemory (say 128M per node, 8 nodes per box), then move the nodes at a later time to new systems (rolling move of the nodes) and dynamically increase the memory without doing a complete save/shutdown/reconfigure/reload?
