Re: Cluster Configuration 2 MGMD nodes

Hey Guys thanks for the feedback but I still seem to be having problems......

I now have 3 pc's

192.168.1.111 - just mgm
192.168.1.3 - ndb and mysql
192.168.1.36 - ndb and mysql

on 192.168.1.111 i have my config file....

Hostname=192.168.1.3
ArbitrationRank= 0

I then run:
ndb_mgmd -f /var/lib/mysql-cluster/config.ini
ndbd (--initial for the first time)

I then go into ndb_mgm and type show:

id=3 (not connected, accepting connect from 192.168.1.3)
id=4 (not connected, accepting connect from 192.168.1.36)

id=5 (not connected, accepting connect from 192.168.1.3)
id=6 (not connected, accepting connect from 192.168.1.36)


Then on the other two pc's I have the following my.cnf file:

[MYSQLD]
ndbcluster # run NDB engine
ndb-connectstring="nodeid=6;192.168.1.111" # location of MGM nodes

[NDBD]
ndb-connectstring="nodeid=4;192.168.1.111" # location of MGM nodes

I then start the mysql:
safe_mysqld --user=root &

on both pc's.

When I go back to the management server and type show.
It gives me the same information.


Any ideas.....
Or am I just doing something wrong......
