Thanks for the reply.

I wasn't questioning the size of the data as I understand the added overhead in 5.0 due to fixed row size. Mainly just the performance of the cluster itself. In re-reading what I posted I guess it did come across that way. My apologies.

I am mainly looking to see if there might be some configuration that I might be overlooking to help the overall performance of the cluster.

There is only 100Mbit Ethernet connections between the machines as far as I know. Even with a trivial amount of data being sent across will this make a tremendous difference? By order of several seconds?

The queries aren't pulling back a lot of data but are generally doing a few joins and grouping with some agregates. The EXPLAIN output shows everything using an index properly.

I am noticing for example one query that fits the previous description that was taking about 4-5 seconds on the original setup. Now in the cluster it is taking almost 13 seconds.

Here is the partial output of my config.ini:

[NDBD DEFAULT]
NoOfReplicas=2
DataDir=/var/lib/mysql-cluster
DataMemory=1700M
IndexMemory=300M
TimeBetweenLocalCheckpoints=6
NoOfFragmentLogFiles=32

Also not sure if it is worth noting but when I try simple selects on two of the largest tables and limit the result set by 100 or so records, it operates extreamly fast.

Thanks,
Chad
