Notice that the query you posted isn't using indexes. That means it will result in a full table scan, which is bad since currently it is having to pull the entire table over the network each query.
It is extremely important to make sure all of your queries are fully using indexes. Make heavy use of EXPLAIN and make sure they are all optimized. For example in the query you gave, you should have a combined index (user, sig).
Your above table doesn't make sense btw, you have indexes on columns that don't exist?
