Newbie question: binlog reset

Hello everyone,

I have just setup a mysql servers with simple replication.

A > B

B is start at read-only, all the update will redirect to server A. It is a simple load balance and HA, even server A down, the service is still online. Two servers are connected directly using a cross over cable.
(most of the usage is "select" for my servers)

My question is, the bin log files in server A will grow up, also the relay-bin log in server B. So I need to clean up the log file time to time, for example every month, right?

How to clean up the log files without stopping the mysql services on both servers? Will the replication "error" when I clean the log?

Thanks
