Migration from 5.5.31 to 8.0

Hi,

Due to housekeeping of my "legacy" stuff. I must migrate old MySQL server (v 5.5.31) to version 8.0.

Both mysql versions are located on separated servers. And the server with mysql 5.5 will be decommisioned after migration.

The thing is that I'd like to avoid a long maitenance break and huge gap in transactions. The smaller the better.

IMHO master slave replication won't be possible between 5.5 and 8.0... Dump on source server and restore on destination server may take too much time...

So, here comes the question:
"how to do such thing safest and most efficient way?"

My kingdom for an answer!
