Thanks for replying. But I still have a question...
Even if I do horizontal partitioning or put different tables on different machines, how can I resolve the problem of the mysql master (where that partition lives) becoming overwhelmed with traffic?
I can always add more slaves since they're read-only. But how does one add more masters to support more writing capacity and throughput?
