Re: Slave stops when reaching a LOAD DATA INFILE command.

In an effort to solve this problem, we upgraded the slave to version 4.1.10a (from RedHat Enterprise Linux 4) and the problem persists. The slave seems unable to parse any instructions from the master's binlog and says that it has read the whole log and is waiting for updates to it.

Another thing we noticed is that we are unable to set the variable "slave-load-tmpdir". Whether we set it in my.cnf (slave-load-tmpdir=/tmp) or not, it does not show in the SHOW VARIABLES output. I mention this in case it is remotely related to the issue.

Has anybody else out there experienced the same problem we are having? Any answer will be greatly appreciated.
