Problem with Replication v4.1.14

I'm using MySQL 4.1.14 standard on Whitebox Linux server in a single master-slave setup.

I have replication setup and working, but yesterday i noticed that after running an update query against the master, the changes were not replicated to the slave. I have checked that the query was successfully recorded in the binary log, which it was. I also tested the update query against the slave, and it worked also. It just appears to be a problem when replicating it to the slave.

The query used has the same structure as the following:

update table1 t1,
(
select field1, field2, field3
from
(
select subfield1, subfield2, subfield3
from subtable
) sub
) tab
set t1.field2 = tab.field2
where t1.field1 = tab.field1
and t2.field = '2005-10-09'

I have searched google for this issue, but only came up with bug# 9361 for v4.1.10. I could find no mention of this particular bug being fixed or still active in 4.1.14.

Has anyone else experienced this problem in v4.1.14-standard or know a possible workaround.

Many Thanks,
Steve Saunders
