Thank you for testing GR and also to reply to your own thread in case somebody is experiencing the same issue.
If your application performs a lot of parallel threads to the writer and those transactions (at least in your case seems large or heavy), it's always recommended to increase the amount of slave_parallel_workers and change the slave_parallel_type to LOGICAL_CLOCK.
Just out of curiosity, did you have a master->slave setup on this system before moving to GR ? and did you experience lag in replication ?
