Is MySQL 5.7 workable with DRBD?

Hello there,
I'm consulting a small MySQL HA deployment with a specific application for a financial client.
I was thinking to install MySQL5.6 with DRBD (Distributed Replication Block Device) and corosync/pacemaker for the synchronous DB replication and DB server failover. But it turned out recently that the application requires MySQL5.7.
As far as I studied, there are many successful installations and experiences with MySQL5.6 and DRBD. So, please let me ask:

Is MySQL5.7 workable with DRBD for the synchronous replication for the minimal HA failover capability in a local site?

Supposed system would be MySQL5.7 on RHEL7.4 of two nodes, DB volume is separated from boot/OS volume each, and application servers run on different nodes in the same site.

Thanks in advance for any tips, info and experiences.
Satoshi
