Group Replication Methodology for Adding Slave
Hi,
We decide to go for Group Replication. In Normal Master-Slave replication we have the binlog-retention-period is 1 day. in that case, binlogs files purged after 24 hrs. if we add another slave, we get data from backup and source into new slave then configured the replication with Master log file & Master log Position.
My Question, if we go for group replication, we need to add a new slave, how to get same data from Master? Need to take the dump of master and source to Slave or Group replication will take over for the process?
