Hi Kyle,

Currently there is no option to tell the Group to change the leader (Primary).
You can decide which one will be the next one by adjusting the weight (https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/group-replication-options.html#sysvar_group_replication_member_weight) and stop the current leader.
There is a feature request that we are evaluating to add a way to force a new leader election online. Stay tuned ;)
