Re: Automating failover in a master-master replication topology

Hi Iefred,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

This all topology started from a simple migration from 5.1 to 5.7-where applications are tested, and it continued with implementing a highly available environment.

Due to our business concept, I assumed implementing a master-master replication env, where one master is active and second passive, will cover our needs.

So ended to above architecture and I was looking more on how mysqlrouter will understand that is safe to failover. Is there a way to run e.g. a condition script checking health of both masters on mysqlrouter level before failovering? Or better how to perform a safe automated failover from active to passive master?

Regards,

Vangelis
