automysqlbackup and replication use of dumps

still on a steep learning curves...

cutting a long story short, is there a way to configure automysqlbackup such that it will create dumps with the master statuswithin the dump, such that subsequently, possibly many hours later

* the dump can be used to reset replication
* and that given the time difference replication will pick up any transactions/changes etc in the interim from the amster?

I am aware that CLI mysqldumps can be dumped such that the master status information is available for subsequent imports - i just cant find how automysqlbackup may manage it.
