Does MySQL Enterprise Backup support multi-streaming via SBT Interface??

MySql Enterprise Backup 3.8.0 supports multiple threads. It has command-line options
--read-threads,--process-threads,--write-threads
But Does it support multiple threads via SBT interface?
When I tried to stream the backup , I got the info as:

mysqlbackup: INFO: Target image is not seekable and so resetting the number of write threads to 1.

How can I get multiple write threads. I couldn't find any information regarding this.
