Thanks for the correction with the qzip.
I'm not sure what the force option would provide since the restore is not stopping on an error.
Is it possible to do a restore from a mysqldump --all-databases (or the mysql.sock as in my case) and exclude the actual mysql database so it doesn't alter the one on the other server, or is there necessary information in the mysql database about the user created databases? (assuming the only thing changing in the data in the user created databases).
