Re: MySQL dump truncating backups at ~18GB - RT database

So it' snot totally solved, and I'm still confused. I keep getting that I'm over my max_allocated_packet. Currently, I'm at 1024MB for max_allowed_packet and it keeps dying. I tried setting it to 2048MB but the MySQL Workbench shows the value won't go any higher. The element it appears to be failing on is a 100k PDF file.

What can I do to get a reliable MySQL backup out of this server?
