Opinion wanted on part of upcoming MySQL backup plan
Hey everyone -
I wanted to ping you real quick on a decision we're trying to reach on part of our upcoming backup for MySQL. Our team is thinking of using end time for backup restore capability instead of start time. For example, if you start a backup at 1am and it ends at 3am, and you used it to restore your database, your database would be restored as of 3am and not 1am. What's your opinion of this? Our team believes the backup will run much faster if we use end time instead of start time.
Let me know what you think when you can.
Thanks,
Robin
