Export data with column names

Hello,

I am trying to export some tables with the following command:
mysqldump -uUSER -pPASSWORD --compact database table > path;
or from a query:
select * from table into outfile file.txt;

I just need to export a simple file to read with column names included and i won't need to backup this file later.. it's really just for reading.
Usually has this format(separated by tab):

column name1 column name2
field1 field2

Can you help me please? .
My major problem is that i can't export column names..

Thanks

Andre Cardoso
