Dear MySQL Developers,
I have just released a new open source tool called NextLevel, which
can be used to analyze SQL code in stored procedures and triggers.
I am using this tool on a large Sybase ASE database on a daily base
and it appears to work quit reliable for me.
I would like to invite everyone using a MySQL database with a large
number of triggers and stored procedures to review my tool and give
me feedback as to whether NextLevel is a useful application for MySQL
5.0 or not. I expect there will be differences and special cases NextLevel
does not cover, yet. I'd like to see what these situations are and whether
NextLevel can adjust for these things.
If, for example, anyone could donate MySQL 5.0 compliant code for the
definition of triggers and procedures (which does not have to working
code) this would be great for a start. Please contact me if you are
interested in working with me towards making NextLevel a useful Tool
for MySQL 5.0.
