Hi,
If you do decide to hold credit card information in a database attached to your website I'd recommend getting the site\server scanned for vulnerabilities just to make sure that you don't have any holes that could be exploited. There is plenty of open source scanners that could be used (nessus springs to mind) or get a commercial company to do it for you.
