Hi, I'm new to MySQL and I want to learn it but I can't start correctly.

* I'm on a MAC *

First, I type : cd /usr/local/mysql

All good, no problem.
Then, when I type : sudo ./bin/mysqld_safe
It demands me a password. I enter my computer password and this appears to me :

2017-02-11T22:26:29.6NZ mysqld_safe Logging to './data/server.local.err'.
Logging to './data/server.local.err'.
2017-02-11T22:26:29.6NZ mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from ./data
2017-02-11T22:26:29.6NZ mysqld_safe mysqld from pid file ./data/server.local.pid ended

I really want to solve this problem. Can you guys help me?
Thank you.
