Encryption and asp question

Hello,

I have a question: When you use the encryption functions on Mysql Server, (using asp - vb), can you decrypt the text also outsite the sql line?

for example, if I have a data of credit cards, which I had encrypted when I entered the data (Using MySql encryption).

Now, I want to extract the data, and show it in the page.

How do I decrypt the that so I could use it in diffrent areas in the asp page?
