Risk of super privilege on shared server?
I have developed an application that incorporates triggers in the database. The ISP where I hope to put the app is leery of granting the database user the super privilege (so the db can be maintained) due to this line in the reference manual: "The |SUPER| privilege can be used to terminate other clients or change how the server operates." What are the risks associated with assigning super privileges to a user of a single data base on a shared server with multiple data bases and multiple users? What can be done to reassure the ISP that there is no risk for his other customers?
Many thanks.
