Bulk copy/transform MySQL -> MySQL

I'm looking for a procedure(tool) to copy data from one MySQL database (on server1) to another MySQL database (on server2 - another server). I'm looking for something like bulk copy.
For example: I need to copy only particular columns from source DB (not the whole table) to dest table (which has different structure than the source table) and I don't want to use LOAD DATA INFILE (text copy).

source table:
firstname varchar(10)
lastname varchar(20)
sex char(1)

dest table:
name varchar(30)
sex char(1)

definition: copy(source_table, source query, dest_table, dest_columns):
example: copy('sourcetable', 'select "firstname + lastname", sex from source', 'desttable', 'name, sex')

Any idea?
