Server 5.5-2 Benchmarks

==============================================================================================
Here are additional results of benchmarks for larger key_buffer_size.
The results seem a little bit better at 16M, but these results are specific to this particular
combination of server hardware, operating system and benchmarks, your result will probably
be different.
==============================================================================================

#3) 4 MyISAM table benchmark
SELECT count(*) FROM t9,t10,t11,t12 WHERE t9.idn=t10.idn and t10.rev_idn=t11.rev_idn and
t11.idn=t12.idn and t12.grp >= 0;
Execution plan same as #1)

Server #1: AMD Phenom processor (4 cores) with 4GB of memory on Centos 6.2-64bit OS
-----------------------------------------------
| key_buffer_size | Non-parallel | Parallel |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 8M | 9.0 sec | 3.3 sec |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 16M | 8.9 sec | 3.3 sec |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 32M | 9.1 sec | 3.3 sec |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 64M | 9.1 sec | 3.3 sec |
-----------------------------------------------

#4) 8 MyISAM table benchmark
SELECT count(*) FROM t9,t10,t11,t12,t13,t14,t15,t16 WHERE t9.idn=t10.idn and t10.rev_idn=t11.rev_idn and
t11.idn=t12.idn and t12.rev_idn=t13.rev_idn and
t13.idn=t14.idn and t14.rev_idn=t15.rev_idn and
t15.idn=t16.idn and t16.grp >= 0;
Execution plan same as #2)

Server #1
-----------------------------------------------
| key_buffer_size | Non-parallel | Parallel** |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 8M | 23.3 sec | 7.7 sec |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 16M | 21.7 sec | 7.4 sec |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 32M | 22.4 sec | 7.6 sec |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 64M | 23.7 sec | 7.6 sec |
|-----------------|--------------|--------------|
| 1,024M | 23.0 sec | 7.5 sec |
-----------------------------------------------
**Only last 6 tables
are parallel processed
