Unless the stuff you're trying to save in a column will always be accessed as a single unit of data, it is very likely a better bet to store the data in multiple columns: essentially you're building an audit trail (for approach alternatives have a look at http://www.artfulsoftware.com/infotree/mysqltips.php).

If it will be accessed only as a unit, and if you're running MySQL 5.7, how about a JSON column? It's what JSON is for.
