how to run fake apply of DUMP/LOG File?

Hi All,
I would like to know if there is any way to trail run /FAKE apply of log files(OR dump file) which were taken as backup. This is to make sure that no errors would occur in applying this dump/log file. If found any error we can correct and apply.
