I've got debian 5 lenny on server vmware ESXi and I installed mysql-server-5.0.
I've account root with password, I login to mysql to root and i've got privileges to databases, but in /var/log/mysql/mysql.log is
Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
I uninnstall --purge mysql and install again and it's the same.
I don't have idea what is the problem?
