Interesting find but unfortunately it doesn't help me - my connections seem fine. I too have a MySQLAdministrator backup which had been running daily for many months. One day I ran the same backup project manually and ever since this project and any others I have setup do not run.

I soon discovered that running manually turns off the 'Schedule this backup project' indicator (why?) but turning it back on again made no difference.

Any ideas anyone.
