Access denied for root locked in as Windows-User

Hi Forum-Users,
I get access to MySQL-Server as root with the "shell / cmd.exe". I also get access as root in MySQLAdministrator being locked in as "administrator" in Windows XP.
But access is denied with Error 1045 if I try to connect to the server with MySQLAdminstrator.
What am I doing wrong? Are there files locked by MSWindows, and when which files?
