EOL? Ok, but where can I do this??
I use MySQLAdmin to create users and databases to install and debug CMSs - content management systems.
I'm not a serious database admin - but a casual one.
When I use my Hosting Service they have a CPanel thing to create databases and users etc. and I use phpMyAdmin to create / modify / backup/Restore databases when I need to. That's fine.
But when I work on local systems I need a SIMPLE admin tool to create databases/tables/USERS/backup and restore.
I tried to user Workbench 5.1 OSS to migrate some CMSs to a new system for local use with XAMPP [local WinAMPP environment]. And I could not get what I needed done with Workbench. Please don't EOL MySQLAdmin until you get Workbench stable and capable of doing what I need in a reasonable way. Currently, for what I need to do, it's like using an AIRCRAFT CARRIER to take a canoe ride on a lake.
WAY THE FREAK TOO COMPLEX.
I will be posting detailed review in the Workbench forum.
Please consider SIMPLE USE CASES when you consider your tools.
Thanks,
Windy
