MySQL Administrator No Longer Connects To Remote Server

Hello all,
1st I'd like to say that I've been using MySQL for about a year now, and it's been great.
Right now I'm having a connection problem and I believe it's coming from my hosting company.
After close to a years worth of the mysql server crashing on my server, I think that my hosting company has done something to where it's not possible for the MySQl Administrator nor my DBManager Professional to connect to the mysql server.
My hosting company uses a mysql tool called "DBManager". It's a browser based tool and they charge $18 per month to use it. It doesn't import, or do anything closely remote to other FREE ones out there, so we don't use theirs.
We have a dedicated server and have the ablility to host "virtual server". We have over 100 of our own domains and here are what the problems we're having right now, and since the beginning of working with mysql.
Here are my problems:
1. The mysql on our dedicated server crashes almost daily, which in turns crashes all databases on the hosting server.
2. I'm unable to connect to the mysql server using MySQL Administrator or the DBManager Professional. Both of these tools are GUI.
3. I'm only able to connect to the mysql database using their "browser" interface and the phpMyAdmin, which is "browser" based.
4. Using my hosting companies DBManager, if you try to create a host with a hyphen (-) in the domain name, you'll be returned with an error. It'll create it if you use a underscore in the domain name. If I use phpMyAdmin, it will create the accounts/hosts as it should.
5. Creating users will not populate the mysql tables with the priveleges that have been set for any user.
6. Creating mysql users for the virtual servers will give the users full access to other databases, although I assigned a particular database to a particular user.
7. Unable to populate the mysql tables with data although data was created/changed and so forth.
Can someone please help me? I am not new to this, but this problem has gone too far and my hosting company makes me think that they don't want to help me solve this issue, which I'll say again,,, has been going on for close to a year now.
I can give you all the info you need to ftp, access, and to do what-ever you need to do to help me fix this never ending problem. The mysql server crashes almost daily.
I've submitted plenty of support tickets to my hosting company, and I'm glad they're all saved. They have not realized how much of a problems it's been because our mysql is not operational to a users point. People have been abandoning our site because our site is database driven and it's constantly not operational.
I've been running a "localhost" I've setup about a year ago now, and it seems to be running correctly plus I've never had any problems out of it so far. I'm just over a year now with learning php, mysql, apache.
I thank you all in advance for your valued time.
